I liked the thickness and shape of my eyebrows. I was fine with the usual grooming (shave/pluck/ thread.) Until my curiosity and boredom struck, I drastically groomed my brows for more defined shape. Unfortunately, it didn't turnout well, uneven fps!
I used my old Nichido eyebrow pencil to at least even out my failed experiment. It was pretty good but not its staying power. It was too creamy for my oily skin. Then I figured it out that I needed something waterproof.
"Keep your misbehaving brows in place with our discreet and easy-to-use brow gel! The lightweight waterproof formula creates thicker fuller natural-looking brows and comes in five versatile shades."
I checked this at NYX's mall counter before purchasing online. It was P460 for a 10ml tube. Although, I got mine for only P320 (+ P60 SF) at bonmarchepage , cheapest NYX brow gel I've seen yet. It was still P80 cheaper than the mall price, not bad! The only available shade that time was the 2nd to the darkest, Espresso.
You need an angle brush, practice, practice and practice to rock this! It was kinda hard to achieve the natural look brows especially with the shade that I got. I really had to practice for days since I was not used to this kind of brow product.
A little goes a long way! You can shape (one side) your brows even with just one small dot of the product. Aside from the fact that it is very pigmented, it dries so fast. Thus, it is safer to just use a very small amount.
I put it on a "waterproof" and "smudge-proof" test. I smudged it for about 10 times, splashed some water then smudged it again. I was bit surprised with the result (4th photo.) It was still slightly noticeable even after all smudging.
PRICE: P380 (w/ sf)
I can wear this all day long, rain or shine!
Highly pigmented. Just like what I've said, a little goes a long long way.
It may seem quite pricey for a 10ml tube but for its quality and color payoff, you get more than what you pay for.
It has no scent, that's why.
*Wide shade range
5 shades to choose from, from blonde to black.
You need to provide a brow or angle brush and spoolie for precise application.
It can be a plus as it sets immediately. However, it dries rapidly and tend to waste more product.
*Not for newbies
Of course they may still use this but it may take time. Not an on-the-go stuff for beginners.
*Didn't tame my brows
I had to buy another product just to put my brows in place.
Tip: You may somehow lessen the color intensity by applying a very minimal amount.
At first, it was such a challenge to form 'decent natural' brows. Either too thick or dark for my liking. I used it often until I learned how to use it properly. Such a life saver especially those days when my brows left me ( Kiddin. LOL!) By the way, I also tested this during our night swimming. Ugh, waterproof! I fell in love with it.
PS: My brows are already back in good shape after a month. It's even easier to work with it now!! :)
Repurchase? Yes, yes! But at least one shade lighter.
